During my time at Union Baptist Church in Durham, NC, I had the privilege of serving as the Lead Youth Leadeship & Discipleship Point of Contact for Youth Ministry, where we consistently grew from 20+ partcipants to welcoming an average of 80 -100  participants every Sunday. We grew up to 450+ youth in our church among our three services! My responsibilities included:

• Conducting, preparing, and executing all youth church activities, events, and worship services, creating a safe and spiritually enriching environment for the youth to embrace God’s spirit.
• Organizing a productive Youth Leadership team, facilitating team meetings, and fostering an atmosphere of growth and collaboration.
• Orchestrating missions and evangelism trips, including the Annual Lott Carey Youth Seminar, to provide opportunities for spiritual growth and outreach.
• Preparing relevant and realistic messages rooted in God’s word, teaching weekly teen mid-week Bible studies, and leading small groups throughout the week.
• Serving as a Board Member of the Durham Youth Missionary Union, collaborating for the Durham City Wide Youth Revival and building relationships with youth and teens both inside and outside the church.
• Transforming spaces with resources to accommodate our youth activities and worship services, ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment.
• Performing administrative office duties, managing church email, utilizing Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and overseeing church calendar management.
• Designing and developing graphic guidelines branding book for the Church, creating a consistent brand that was adopted and utilized in the community and beyond.
• Creating video promotions for Senior Pastor Sermon Series and 44 other church ministries, and managing social media marketing for the church’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter pages, resulting in a significant increase in social media engagement.

My time at Union Baptist Church was a period of immense growth and impact, where I had the opportunity to lead, inspire, and contribute to the spiritual and personal development of our youth and the broader church community.

During my time as the intergenerational and media minister at Cornerstone Baptist Church, I had the opportunity to contribute in various capacities, including:

• Conducting, preparing, and executing all intergenerational virtual and in-person activities, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive church community.
• Organizing a productive Youth Leadership team and developing a strategy team to foster a healthy children’s, youth, and student ministry, conducting regular team meetings to ensure alignment and growth.
• Teaching youth, teen, and adult Bible studies, as well as weekly youth Sunday school classes, contributing to the spiritual growth of individuals across different age groups.
• Enhancing church communication outlets for student and college ministry efforts through various platforms such as Remind, Band.us, Planning Center, and Realm Connect, to facilitate effective and timely communication.
• Establishing a comprehensive communications program aimed at enhancing the visibility and desired image of the church, ensuring a consistent and impactful outreach.
• Recruiting, training, scheduling, and coordinating media teams to provide audio, video, and broadcast support for worship services and other events, contributing to a seamless and engaging church experience.
• Developing an annual budget for Media Ministry and Intergenerational Ministry purchases, ensuring the availability of necessary resources to support the church’s media and intergenerational initiatives.
• Managing social media and marketing for the church’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter pages, increasing the church’s online presence and engagement.
• Supervising and recruiting communications and youth leadership volunteer staff, fostering a dedicated and passionate team to support the church’s mission and outreach.
• Demonstrating excellent communication for both internal and external outlets, ensuring clarity, consistency, and effectiveness in all church communications.

My time at Cornerstone Baptist Church was marked by a commitment to fostering a vibrant community, enhancing communication, and empowering the next generation to thrive in their faith and service.
